Image courtesy of the artist. MEET OUR 2018 JUROR Dan Byers Dan Byers is the current John R. and Barbara Robinson Family Director of the Carpenter Center for Visual Arts, at Harvard University. Byers has served as senior curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston since 2015. Recent projects included the solo exhibitions of Diane Simpson and Geoffrey Farmer, as well as the group exhibitions “The Artist’s Museum” and the 2017 “Foster Prize Exhibition.” Before his move to Boston, Byers was curator of modern and contemporary art at Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh. There, he served as co-curator, with Daniel Baumann and Tina Kukielski, of the 2013 “Carnegie International,” a widely acclaimed global exhibition that staged a conversation in four parts: a major exhibition of new international art, a project on artist- and architect-designed playgrounds, the museum’s collection, and an engagement with the city of Pittsburgh.   $175 + 1/2 utilities to share artist (non live in) studio space   I am a sculptor working in wood and my full time job leaves me few hours to use the space except for Wednesdays and another day plus some mornings. 8 ft X 11.5 (92 Sq ft )with 2 large walls within a larger space,( 360 sq ft) located in Central Street Studios. The space has good light and participates in SOS. New season, new exhibits, new programs! September 2018 Exhibits & Programs Building a vibrant community through visual art, since 1944 Greetings! September at the Cambridge Art Association (CAA) ushers in our 74th exhibition season, with our Mary Schein Fall Salon on view in both galleries, new work in our satellite spaces, and a fresh roster of workshops and artist talks! In addition to all of our September programs, listed below, we have a full schedule for October and November as well, including a new workshop with Sybylla Smith, Concept Aware. You can find our complete workshop listings on our Workshops page. Finally, at the end of the month, we will host an artist showcase exhibit, as part of Cambridge Arts Open Studios Weekend.
