Email: Jen Atwood, Director@eastsomervillemainstreets.org    East Somerville Main Streets is seeking street artists for a mural at outside of Mt Vernon Restaurant.   About Mt Vernon Restaurant Mt Vernon Restaurant & Pub is a family restaurant dedicated to amazing food and a fun atmosphere! We are celebrating over 80 years in business, and to celebrate, we are offering incredible lobster and prime rib specials.  We are looking for specific restaurant or New England cuisine themed imagery.  The mural is to be installed at the restaurant’s South facing wall (facing the parking lot).  We anticipate this mural to be painted between August 11 and Aug 30.   About East Somerville Main Streets   East Somerville Main Streets mission is to improve the life of our community by building investment, connection and pride in our main street. We do this through a variety of ways including: Small Business Technical Assistance projects and promoting the East Broadway Business District as a remarkable and unique cultural destination, known for celebrating its traditions and heritage and maintaining the community’s diversity.   Learn more about us at: https://ift.tt/2OhrnUU   Project Details   The project is open to all artists & artist groups. Artists may apply as an individual or as a group. If you apply as a group, please provide references and samples for each artist. Selected artists will be asked to provide a sketch of work, final pieces will need to be approved by the selection committee. All pieces must be appropriate for all ages and not considered offensive to any group based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, place of origin, etc. East Somerville Main Streets and Mount Vernon Restaurant will provide selected artists a $3,000 stipend for their work.
