The Local Artist Town Hall is a citizen-organized meeting to connect artists and creative types for arts advocacy in Somerville, collaboration on public arts projects, and inquiry around the question: If you had the space and resources, how would you transform existing structures and policies for creative development in Somerville? Everyone is welcome, and we hope to cultivate a safe and supportive environment for ideas to be shared and voices to be heard. We are a completely unaffiliated amorphous group of folks looking for collaborators and organizers who believe in the power of place, and the arts as a vehicle of socio-political transformation.
