About the Concert
The Art of the Protest Song Benefit Concert for the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) is a not-to-be- missed event. The MIRA Benefit Concert features four musically gifted performers who use their art to illuminate the social justice issues Americans face and inspire us to take action. The Concert is headed by Sarah Lee Guthrie (grand-daughter of Woody Guthrie who is helping carry on an historic family tradition), Regie Gibson (a wonderful rap artist and winner of the National Poetry Slam Contest), David Roth (an award winning eloquent voice for positive social change) and Clave&Blues (a Latino-American salsa band who ryhthmically perform the freedom music of their heritage).
