Trash Bash 2016: Somerville's Fourth Annual Recycled Art Show
Competition Entry Form
Welcome to Trash Bash 2016! Trash Bash 2016 will take place on Sunday, November 20th from 2-8pm at Aeronaut Brewery! We are thrilled to partner with Aeronaut as we take over their brewery and turn it into an art show for a day. Submit your application today, and join us as we dance, drink, and celebrate sustainability in Somerville. This year's show will support Somerville Local First. All profit will go to support their amazing work in our community! www.somervillelocalfirst.org
The recycled art competition is open to all adults and youth - artists, crafters, recyclers and up cyclers, professional, amateur, creative sorts, bank managers. Submit your application by October 26th, Midnight in order to be considered for participation, as all participating artists will show their work at Aeronaut for the month of November. This year's event WILL sell out, as we are capping artists at 40. Please get your application in soon, to be sure you are entered into the competition.

Trash Bash is free for the public to visit!
Acceptable artwork will be mixed media and any medium is permissible. Entries must use recycled content - either recycled materials or items that can be recycled and should use no or low VOC paints. Materials may include metals, paper, clothing, rubber, glass, plastic and other materials made of recycled content. Use of non-recyclable fasteners such as glue or tape are permitted.
Prizes!
--Adult First Prize = $200
--Youth First Prize = $500
--Adult and Youth Second and Third Prizes will be gifts from our amazing local business sponsors
--Honorable Mention Awards will be given for Originality, Creativity and Best Use of Recycled Content
Entries will be judged on educational value as well as overall artistic concept and use of materials.
All hung artwork is invited to be shown at Aeronaut Brewery for the month of November. All sculptures will be reviewed and may be shown at Aeronaut for the month of November, pending appropriate space at brewery. Due to the heavy use of the tabletops at Aeronaut (and the fact that they will get toppled over!), artwork displayed on tabletop for Trash Bash will need to be taken home at the end of the night.
Food and beverages will be available for sale. Live music will also be featured as well as workshops. For more information, contact jen@3gracesproductions.com.
