This is Not Your Grandmother's Lye Soap
This will be a two-hour class covering cold process soap making. There will be a short history explanation of soap making, a discussion on what ingredients to include in a soap bar (including essential oils), a thorough explanation of the process (including safely working with the materials) and then a demonstration of actually making soap.

Press-less Prints Series: Gelatin Prints
During this class, you will experiment with printmaking using gelatin as a printmaking surface. You will roll ink onto the gelatin to create areas of solid color, use stencils to block out areas, and use a variety of tools and objects to create different textures in your prints. Towards the end of the class, you can also experiment with cutting away portions of your gelatin or gorging into your gelatin to make a new shape and texture for your printmaking plate.
