Two exciting ensembles! The duo released one of the earliest recordings on the Driff label, 1000 Words, and has performed live in the Southeast and in the Netherlands and Germany; the second set will be a new brass trio. Both sets will feature original music by the musicians in the ensembles, drawing on contemporary jazz and classical music and other traditions, forming frameworks for adventurous improvisation.

Bassist & composer Jacob William is a stalwart of the region's improvised music world, and his ensembles include a who's who of the area scene. The incredible quartet assembled for this evening features saxophonist Jason Robinson in from western MA and local fixtures pianist Steve Lantner & drummer Luther Gray. Expect a night of compelling original compositions and adventurous improvisations.
