Volunteer dog tag sellers needed for ArtBeat Saturday, July 18
The countdown begins for ArtBeat—our biggest event of the year. As we are busy finalizing the last remaining details of the festival, we still are looking for a few volunteers for Saturday July 18 for the dog tag sales. Below, you will find a description of the volunteer shift.
The shifts times that are needed are from mid to late afternoon for only a couple hours. Folks who participate get a fabulous SAC t-shirt and food voucher for volunteering. If you are available and interested in helping out, please contact Heather at hbalchunas@somervillema.gov. Thanks so much.
ArtBeat Friday July 17 (Evening) and Saturday July 18 (Day) Dog Tag Sales (Roaming)
--Out of all the positions, this one is most crucial! We need folks who are friendly, outgoing and comfortable approaching festival goers; if this isn’t you, let the volunteer coordinator know and we can hopefully find another job for you.
--After checking in with volunteer coordinator, check in with the dog tag banker to receive a cash bank and dog tags. Dog tags cost $3 and we’ll give you a bag of 25.
--Circulate at festival selling dog tags. Call out/or as you chat with people say: “please support the festival, support the arts council, buy a dog tag for $3.” Let folks know buying a dog tag helps keep this free public festival running, year after year. A dog tag also serves as a ticket for indoor dance performances at the Somerville Theatre.
