This Sunday - Come join our solstice HONK in the Park
Are you ready for Somerville's First Honk Of The Summer?
WHAT: Solstice Picnic & Dance Party
WHO: School of HONK and YOU
WHEN: June 21, 2-6 pm
WHERE: 7 Hills Park in Davis Square
This Sunday, Somerville will join with hundreds of cities around the world in welcoming the first day of summer -- by making music in the streets. Along with France’s Fête de la Musique, and across the river from Make Music Boston, we’ll celebrate the Somerville way, with our first HONK of the summer.
We invite you to bring an instrument, a picnic, a blanket, maybe a hula hoop or your dancing shoes — and ALL your friends! Come celebrate the longest day of the year, as we play through our School of HONK songbook and welcome all to join in and learn our tunes
To make it even more special, our new School of HONK Dance Troupe will show everyone some powerfully fun dance moves for each of our songs.
We really hope you can come share in our fun.
P.S. This is a permitted outdoor event. But In the unlikely event of afternoon storms, we will take our party to First Church Somerville (89 College Ave).
