Bees, Chickens, and Koi Fish in the Urban Backyard - June 10, 2015 7-9 PM

Wednesday, June 10, 2015
7-9 PM
Tufts Administration Building
167 Holland Street, Somerville, 02144
Second floor, wheelchair accessible

Do you have an interest in raising bees or chickens in your garden, or adding koi fish to your backyard pond? Join the friendly gardeners of the Somerville Garden Club at their June meeting for three demonstrations regarding these subjects. Club members will share their expertise and experiences keeping bees, raising chickens, or tending pond koi fish. Each of the three demonstrations will be offered in twenty-minute segments, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy all three. There will be time for questions and discussion within each demonstration. Parking is available on site and the building is a short walk from the Davis Red Line T station.

The Somerville Garden Club meets the second Wednesday of every month. Meetings are free and the public is invited to attend. Each meeting opens with club announcements, followed by a horticultural question-and-answer session, a lecture and/or demonstration, and concludes with a raffle of donated plants and garden-related items. It is not necessary to be a Somerville resident to attend a meeting or join the club; one third of our membership comes from local communities.
