Movie Night Series Coming to Union Square this Summer

Somerville Community Access Television announces “Cinema Somerville," an open-air movie series launching on July 1st, 2015 at the Somerville Community Growing Center. The event series is free and is open to all residents of the city. The movie series is co-sponsored by the Somerville Community Growing Center, Somerville Public Library (MA) with support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Details: Cinema Somerville will feature varied programming, screening longtime comedy classics like the Three Stooges, Popeye, and Bugs Bunny to the classic comedy horror rock musical, Little Shop of Horrors. Screenings will start at dusk, right after sunset. Seating is limited; moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own portable seats, blankets, lawn chairs and snacks! Here is the movie night list:
July 1st: Little Shop of Horrors, young Jack Nicholson stars in this dark comedy (PG-13).
July 8th: Popeye, Three Stooges (PG) and Bugs Bunny cartoon classics (G)
July 15th: Boy in the Plastic Bubble starring John Travolta (N/A)
July 22nd: Return of the Kung Fu Dragon (N/A)
July 29th: Charlie Chaplin short films marathon (PG-13)
