CAMBRIDGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA 40th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT - March 22, 2015
Thirteen Somerville residents will perform as part of the CambridgeSymphony Orchestra in its 40th anniversary concert:

Kresge Auditorium, MIT, Cambridge
The program conducted by Music Director Cynthia Woods will open with the all-brass Fanfare from Dukas’s La Peri followed by Respighi’s The Pines of Rome. Acclaimed pianist Max Levinson will be the featured soloist in Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2.
This concert sponsored by Cambridge Savings Bank will spotlight TargetCancer Foundation, which promotes the development of lifesaving treatment protocols for rare cancers.

Somerville residents who will perform in the orchestra are: violinists Leo Torrente, Lane Marder, Josh Garstka, Tadhg Pearson, Zidi Chen and Sarah Perkins; violist Anna Perko; cellist Nick Pittman; bassist Dave Shrake; oboist Carolyn Hayes; bassoonist Will Gorman; percussionist Natalie Shelton; and pianist Dan Rodriguez.
About the CSO: Established in 1975, the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community music organization that provides a welcoming environment for players and audiences through outstanding concerts, events and social action.
