CAMBRIDGE ART ASSOCIATION NEWS/EVENTS - February 2015

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up,
snow is exhilarating | John Ruskin

It's hard to believe January has come and gone, and just as we celebrate a Patriots Super Bowl victory, we are being buried by more snow! I hope you will warm up with us this Friday, February 6 at University Place Gallery for the opening of PAINT, juried by Ali Ringenberg from Sloane Merrill Gallery.

On Saturday, February 7, we are hosting a second Bookbinding Workshop with Kathy Lobo. Scroll down for more information and the registration link (under Workshops)

On February 18, we'll host the third installment of Creative Process, our monthly show on CCTV Cambridge, we will feature Artist Member Joe Kitsch. Click here to view the January episode with Gessica Silverman. Joe currently has an installation in our new display window on Mifflin Place in Harvard Square. Starting this month we will feature small works (12 x 12 inches or less, priced $800 and under) as part of our SMALL WALL PROJECT at 25 Lowell Street.

I also hope you will help support CAA at Sacco's Bowl Haven on February, 24. Every Tuesday night this fantastic pizza parlor-slash-candlepin bowling alley (and a personal favorite of mine!) hosts a non-profit night, donating a portion of the evening's proceeds to a local non-profit organization. Second, we are changing up our annual fundraiser - this year, celebrating 1970s-style with a Spring Benefit at Oberon. Scroll down for more information. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, February 10.

Stay warm, and I hope to see you in the gallery soon!
