FIRST NIGHT GRAND PROCESSION IN BOSTON - December 31, 2014

For many years, OPENAIR Circus of Somerville has marched, stilted, danced, carried bird puppets, pushed strollers, thrown confetti, and generally had a great time in the First Night Grand Procession in Boston.

Others of all ages are invited to join us this year. If you can't stilt, you can carry a bird puppet, throw confetti, pull the confetti carts, or engage the crowd. Small people often elicit great appreciation and cheers.

We'll be joined by some members of the Somerville High band with music to keep us happy and in time.

The parade starts at 5:30 pm on December 31 in front of the Hynes Convention Center, and goes down Boylston St to Charles, and ends around 7, in time for the fireworks.

We'll have tunics and maybe hats for everyone -- but you have to let us know you're coming, and pick up costumes that morning.

If you know how to stilt -- or are willing to learn before then -- we can provide stilts too.

Let me know if you want to come, or have questions!

Hope to see you then!
