SOMERVILLE SEEKING ARTIST INSTRUCTORS - January - March 2015
The Armory's Youth Arts Arise program is looking for local artist instructors to instruct our winter session workshops in a wide range of disciplines, including both visual and performing arts. Workshops are currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 pm, January - March.
Youth Arts Arise is a free arts education program that offers multi-disciplinary artistic workshops after school and during the summer for youth ages 11-19. Older youth will have an opportunity to participate in a mentoring/peer leadership role. Workshop themes will encourage self-exploration through investigation of the participants' individual and cultural identity as well as exploring other cultures, traditions, and diversity.
Artist instructors will teach either Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Workshops take up two or three Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on the time needed to accomplish the project. The stipend for artist instructors is $60 per workshop day.
