SNOWY OWL PROJECT FUNDRAISER - November 15, 2014
Shawn Carey and I are running a fundraiser to help out Norman Smith with the Snowy Owl Project.
The event will be held at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum on Saturday, November 15th starting at 4:30pm (detailed in the picture/flier below.) Norman will have a live Barn Owl (yes - Barn, not Barred), which I'm really looking forward to seeing.
An RSVP is requires as we need to know how much food to get... If you plan on going contact Shawn Carey at scarey@avfx.com.
I'm fairly sure that Norman broke his record last year when capturing (and relocating) the snowies from Logan Airport. If you want to read more about the Snowy Owl Project, you can go here:

This webpage has a lot of information about GPS tracked Snowy Owls from around North America, including several that Norman has released:

We (Shawn and I) are doing this in place of our usual November Photo Share. So if you've been to that, you have some idea of what is involved. Fun people with a passion for nature combined with great photos (often from around the world!)
I hope you can make it, I expect it will be an interesting and fun evening - along with helping out a great project.
