Making Books with Kathy Lobo

Thursday, September 18, 7-9pm
at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery

Come and spend two hours exploring book structures with CAA member Kathy Lobo. Some structures will explore how to transform a piece of paper (maybe bring a "reject" print or drawing) into a book, or to create a sculptural book of collaged images/components. A variety of book structures will be shared and taught. You will go home with some mini "sample" books that will hopefully serve to inspire you to continue making books and later to participate in a Cambridge Art Association book show - Books Abound - scheduled for March 2015.

Limited to 16 participants.

September Third Thursday is $10 for Cambridge Art Association Artist and Friend Members; $15 for not-yet-members

October & November:

This is an exciting drawing and painting class using an iPad and the painting app "Procreate". Digital painting has found its way into the processes of many contemporary painters, including David Hockney and Amy Sillman. The unique features of the digital medium permit any type of expression or style, allow us to manipulate opacity and color and to distort and import images.
