ARTBEAT SOMERVILLE CALL FOR STREET PAINTERS - July 19, 2014
I am looking for volunteer artists to street-paint squares measuring 4' x 6' during Artbeat (http://www.somervilleartscouncil.org/artbeat/2014) on Saturday, July 19th starting at 9am. These squares have been sponsored by individuals to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through donations made to the Pan Mass Challenge, which raises money for life-saving cancer research through an annual bike-a-thon.
During the Street Painting Festival Fundraiser, street painters will transform sections of DAVIS SQUARE using chalk-pastels on pavement to create vibrant and colorful, large scale images.
I am looking for interested individuals/artists design and chalk-paint the square with a hatch-themed image. The sponsors' name will be showcased at the top and artists are encouraged to sign their work. This is an interactive experience with the spectators of your artwork.
