The Somerville Arts Council, in conjuntion with East Somerville Main Streets, seeks a muralist for a highly visible public art project: a large outdoor mural at 2-8 Broadway Street. The site sits incredibly close, 1,000 feet, to the Sullivan Square train station. The City’s annual pedestrian counts show that during the evening peak hours, over 400 people walk past this site.The mural will be painted on 6 4’x8’ pannels and attached to the side of the building. Compensation: $2,500 for supplies and labor.
