ARLINGTON SHORT ANIMATION FILM FESTIVAL - July 1, 2014

Call to Filmmakers

Arlington Community Media Inc, Arlington Center for the Arts, Friends of Robbins Farm Park, and Arlington International Film Festival are announcing a call for entries to their first-annual Arlington Short Animation Film Festival: An evening outdoor festival showcasing local animated work for all ages. Animated shorts will be projected on an outdoor screen on Robbins Farm Park Friday, August 9th (raindate: August 10th). A live band will perform from 7-8pm with the films starting at 8:30pm when the sun has set. Bring a picnic and blanket, buy some food from our vendors, and enjoy the night!

Filmmakers, we’d love to show your animated work! We seek entries from novice and experienced filmmakers from all over the Bay State, so this is a great chance to showcase your short animated films.

What films do we want?

Original animated film shorts (you may submit as many as you wish), 10 minutes or less, complete or work-in-progress.
Priority will be given to Arlington filmmakers, but work from all over Massachusetts is welcome.
We would love to screen student work too!
How to Apply:

Please mail or deliver a short bio, a DVD of your entry, and a typed summary with the following:

Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address

A brief description of your animation
ACMi would like to broadcast accepted entries on our Public Channel. Please let us know if this is something you would be interested in (this does not affect your chances of being accepted into the festival).
