Arlington Recreation in coordination with Arlington Public Art and Arlington Center for the Arts, is pleased to announce its first art exhibition in a local park. We are seeking proposals for temporary outdoor sculptures to be considered for installation in Menotomy Rocks Park near Arlington Center. These artworks will serve to engage the public in considering the relationship between art and the environment.

The exhibition area will be on the lawn up to the pond facing Jason Street.

Artists do not have to be Arlington residents.

The exhibition will run from Saturday, May 3 – Monday, May 26, 2014 with an opening reception on Sunday, May 4 from 3 to 5 pm.

Art work will be chosen based on quality, durability and suitability for an outdoor public environment, as well as safety of the public.

Application process: Artists may enter up to three existing works and/or installation proposals for new work for consideration by January 31, 2014, on a CD. Info and entry form:
