Imagination, Symbol & Spirit
A Duo Exhibition featuring the work of: Priscilla Hathaway & Marilyn McKeon
These two artists, each with their own critical life struggles, work from the mind. Images that seem to birth themselves from both of these prolific women invariably end up on paper, using marker, crayon, pen, pencil, colored pencils, acrylic paint – basically whatever their ideas demand. Images of life and death, religion, relationship, family, femininity and masculinity, as well as elves, fairies and landscapes, all seem to weave their way into their art.
Priscilla has shown widely and she generously will donate her art and hopes to continue to share her work with others, while Marilyn, as Priscilla states, “deserves to be known and appreciated for her brilliance,” and has also shown in several public exhibits. They are both long time friends and find solace, peace and challenge through the creation of art.
