Film Series: Masters of Photography: Edward Steichen / Andre Kertesz

Widely regarded as the most influential photographer of the 20th century, Eduard
Steichen worked in every aspect of the art - fashion, industrial, nature, combat,
portrait, table-top. As a leading museum curator created the famous "Family of Man"
photo exhibition. This film was made in 1964. In every branch of photography to
which he set his hand Steichen became a master.

Man Ray: Prophet of the Avant-Garde

Photographer, painter, filmmaker, poet, essayist, philosopher Man Ray was an extraordinary
man with extraordinary talents. One of the primary leaders of the American modernist
movement, he single-handedly pioneered some of the 20th century s most important
arts innovations. Narrated by Stockard Channing, the film traces Ray s remarkable
legacy from his humble beginnings in New York City to his distinctive achievements
in Paris and, finally, to his impact upon future generations across the spectrum
of creative arts.

West End.We will visit surviving landmarks of the West End and learn about the people
of the West End, the debate over the destruction of the neighborhood and the fate
of those who lived there.
