SOMERVILLE TIBET ARTS & CULTURE FESTIVAL - May 17, 2013
Invitation to the Tibet Arts and Culture Festival in Somerville!
The Tibet Arts and Culture Festival presents an evening dedicated to highlighting the vibrancy of Tibetan culture, performing and visual arts, including writing and literature existing in Boston. We want to provide a platform that will serve as means to promote and preserve Tibet's artistic heritage, and to seek wider exposure of Tibetan artists, and to empower them to continue learning and preserving their artistic traditions
We will be presenting Tibetan musicians and singers graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) in India; Tibetan writer Pema Tsewang Shastri, guest poet Antonio Ochoa; rapper Olo Bayul and young female poet Tenzin Yang
Also presenting, Ngawang Jorden, a Tibetan contemporary painter, and a guest painter from Woester.
Photo exhibition by Tibetan photographer Sonam Zoksang, and a collection of photographs from Tibet. There will be Tibetan food and much more!
May 17th at the Armory located on Highland Avenue in Somerville, from 6pm to 10pm, tickets $15 at the door.
