LYNNARTS CALL FOR ARTISTS - March 30, 2013

GUIDELINES
Media: “Paint. noun 1. a substance composed of solid coloring matter suspended in a liquid medium and applied as a protective or decorative coating to various surfaces, or to canvas or other materials in producing a work of art”.
Size limitation: There are no size limitations for this show, except entry through a standard door.
Conditions: Work submitted for consideration must be in physical form and delivered to LynnArts during the stated drop off times. Do not transmit work electronically or submit on CD, etc. All work must be original, ready for hanging or display. No wall anchors. Heavy work and work requiring special installation must be installed by the artist. Work previously exhibited in this gallery will not be accepted. LynnArts takes pride in your work: we will not accept broken or damaged work/frames. The galleries are a family, friendly venue; LynnArts reserves the right to refuse any work that may be objectionable to the community at large.
Drop-off: Thursday, March 21, 11am-7pm, Friday, March 22, 10am-4pm, and Saturday, March 23 11am-4pm at 25 Exchange Street, Lynn, MA. Each piece should include the following on the back: artist’s name, title of piece, medium and price. In addition, please fill out an Artist Inventory List, available at www.lynnarts.org, and submit your artists resume and statement with the work.
Notification: All artists will be notified by e-mail if your work is accepted the week of Monday, March 25. If you do not have an e-mail address, you will be called; (please provide a working contact number).
Work not accepted: Must be picked up Thursday, March 28 or Friday, March 29 during regular business hours.
Accepted work: Unsold work may be picked up on Saturday, May 4 or by special arrangement.
Commission: LynnArts, Inc. retains a 25% commission on all work sold during the exhibit.
Liability: Artwork will be insured upon arrival at LynnArts. We reserve the right not to insure works that are damaged or structurally unsound. Works left at LynnArts beyond the stated pick-up date are not insured and will no longer be the responsibility of LynnArts.
LynnArts, Inc. is a private non-profit arts organization located in Lynn’s Central Square at 25 Exchange Street. The building houses two large and airy gallery spaces as well as a black-box rehearsal/performance space and several artist studios. The LynnArts office welcomes queries regarding artist exhibition proposals, membership, teaching opportunities, and rental of office and studio space.
