Join London-based Iraqi filmmaker Maysoon Pachachi for a screening and discussion of her remarkable documentary film Our Feelings Took the Pictures: Open Shutters Iraq. Beau Beausoleil, San Francisco-based poet, bookseller, and founder of Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here, will join Pachachi in a discussion about the film and the Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here project.

Filmmaker Maysoon Pachachi will discuss the challenges and triumphs of contemporary filmmaking in Baghdad. The award-winning short, A Candle for the Shabandar Café (by Emad Ali, student at the Independent Film & Television College co-founded in Baghdad by Ms. Pachachi) and others will be screened, with a discussion to follow.

Call for Presentations - Arts Professionals' Breakfast

The Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) is pleased to announce a call for presentations for our second annual Arts Professionals' Breakfast. This is a unique platform for arts professionals and arts organizations to network and share innovative practices and collaborative efforts across Massachusetts with leaders in the field.

The Arts Professionals' Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Hamersley's Bistro on the BCA campus. Recognizing the best in arts administration throughout Massachusetts, this sector-wide event includes the following goals:

- To acknowledge innovative practices by arts administrators that are crucial to the continuity and vitality of the arts and culture sector

- To provide opportunities for professional networking, workforce development and sector unity
