The president's birthday is coming up and we are going to celebrate by bringing together artists, somervillians and Obama supporters alike to make t-shirts. There will be three designs chosen to become silk screens and on August 4th - we will have a bring your own t-shirt, bag, sweatshirt, whatever you want - and screen print it - party, hosted by the Washington Street Art Center in Union Square. First, President Obama needs your designs! We are looking for submissions in 3 categories: 1) Somerville for Obama design 2) Artists for Obama design 3) General Obama 2012 design Your designs should be vector based and fit on an 8" x 10" area. We also ask that your lines are not too thin, as it makes it more challenging to convert to silk screen. We want to see how creative you can get!
