ALLSTON LIBRARY OPEN BOOK NIGHT - June 18, 2012
This is a reminder that on Monday, June 18th at 6 pm. we are having an "Open Book Night" -- an artists' talk -- as part of the artist's book exhibit at the Honan-Allston Library called "Beyond the Book." This has been a really enjoyable event in past years and I encourage everyone to attend. You may recognize names on the list of artists; jurors for this year's exhibit are Karen Frostig, Fran Forman and Jesseca Ferguson.
If you have not yet seen the exhibit, this is the last week, so do try to stop by! Directions and library hours are at bpl.org. See the page for the Honan-Allston branch of the Boston Public Library. The library has a parking lot at the rear of the building and is on the 66 bus line.
ALSO:
Last week was the gala opening reception for the Par Avion exhibit at the French Library and Culture Center, Marlboro St. at Berkley in Back Bay. This is an artists' exchange that I helped coordinate with Ann Forbush, a sort of an "exquisite corpse" with 25 Boston-area artists and 25 Strasbourg, France artists producing collaborative works. Again, many of you will recognize some names -- see the postcard attached. The exhibit runs till July 26th; details at ParAvionProject.com.
