Mudflat Pottery School and Studio in Somerville MA is looking for an individual currently enrolled in a ceramic arts program, with experience working with clay. Interest in learning ceramic technical skills is required; prior experience is helpful but not necessary. Tasks will include all technical aspects of clay studio and school, including studio maintenance, clay recycling, slip and glaze mixing, loading and unloading electric and gas kilns. Electric and gas kiln firing is possible based on experience. All training provided by Mudflat’s technical staff. 20 hours per week, daily schedule to be determined, but should be 4 or 5 days each week for 4-5 hours each day. May/June through August/September – to be determined with intern.
