SOMERVILLE MUSEUM FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN
Some of you may or may not know that the Somerville Museum is undertaking a building fund capital campaign.
The Massachusetts Cultural Facility Fund and MassDevelopment Corporation awarded the Somerville Museum $104,500 in matching funds toward the roof replacement and window restoration project in 2008. They have raised $50,000 toward that match, but the deadline of February 14, 2011 to raise the final amount is fast approaching. Whatever funds you donate today will be matched 1:1 by the challenge grant up to the total amount of the project and are a tax-deductible charitable contribution to a worthy Somerville institution.
The capital project will allow the Museum to stop the leaks, improve the interior climate of the Museum, and restore the building’s beautiful exterior appearance.
So please remember all those great events, exhibits, community events you’ve attended over the years and plan to contribute. Any amount—large or small will be matched 1:1—and greatly received by the Museum. If you’ve work directly with Evelyn or Tom, you know their own dedication to the Museum, the City, and your own event that they generously hosted. Remember that and contribute by Feb. 14th.
