3 PHOTOGRAPHERS PRESENT NEW APPROACHES TO PHOTOJOURNALISM AT THE BROOKLINE ARTS CENTER
(Brookline, MA – JUNE 16, 2009) On Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., Pat Goeters, Robin Chan and David Gordon will present a program of photo essays at the Brookline Arts Center, exploring the new forms of photojournalism in a world shaped by the Internet and digital photography.
Three Photographers Show Their Stories, an “Art for Everyone” event, is free and open to the public.
“We are exploring what happens to photography when you no longer print copies of the photo,” says exhibiting photographer Pat Goeters. “It’s a very different world.” Goeters is a photographer and writer, as well as a past architect, professor and housing consultant. Robin Chan and David Gordon are both staff photographers for the Community Newspaper Company, and also publish their photography independently on the web.
The Brookline Arts Center is located at 86 Monmouth St., at the corner of St. Mary’s Street. It is convenient to public transportation and wheelchair accessible. For more information, please call 617-566-5715 or visit www.brooklineartscenter.com and www.pat-goeters.com
This program is presented in conjunction with Fleeting Moments: Photography by Pat Goeters, which is on view at the Brookline Arts Center from Monday, June 22 to Friday, August 14, 2009.
