Lynn, MA - On Saturday, June 6 LynnArts hosts RED HOT Revelry, our annual art auction and fundraiser. Each year the auction provides a wonderful opportunity to collect the work of North Shore artists and support the growth of the North Shore arts & culture community. This year, in addition to the original fine art and silent auction items which will be available for purchase, Red Hot Revelers can enjoy an evening of carnival themed fun. Try making a hole-in-one on the "Lynn Greenway," playing the ring toss, showing off your aim at the bean bag throw, or testing your luck with the lollipop raffle. You won't want to miss viewing the collection of vintage carnival banners painted by masters like Snap Wyatt that will be on display(courtesy of Dave Waller), or the opportunity to pose on a bucking shark in front of High Rock Tower. Guests are sure to enjoy this evening of festivities all in support of LynnArts programming.
As always our popular art auction will feature original artwork from area artists including: Jocelyn Almy-Testa, Donna Baldassari, Jennifer "Jeff" Bowie, Elaine Caliri Daly, Marilyn Cloran,Rick Cloran, Frank Costantino, Joanne Desmond, Rob Farris, Leslie Fahn Rosenberg, Jeff Fioravanti, Jake Fried, Marcia Hermann, Megan Holst, Liz Mitsuye Horwitz, Bridget Jourgensen, Gaspar LaFata, Elizabeth Lamb, Michael Milczarek, Steve Negron, Jean Noyes, David Parsons, Peter Pizzi, Barry Ridlon, Barbara Rafferty, Sand T and Martha Wakefield. The artists have donated work ranging from painting to jewelry, to hand crafted dollhouses.
This year we will also offer the "Wall of Miniatures" painted by many of the same artists listed above. This is a great opportunity to start your collection in an affordable and accessible way!
