Celebrating their first five years as a nonprofit design company serving the poor through their products, and announcement of their plans for growth. Wednesday, May 28, 5:30-7:30pm. Design that Matters, Inc. (DtM), a Cambridge-based nonprofit product design company working to improve life for the poor in developing countries, announces its 5th Anniversary Open House to celebrate its first five years of impact and present its plans for growth. DtM engages college students and professional volunteers in developing technological solutions to global problems. DtM’s design partners include students and faculty from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University and the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), as well as volunteers and in-kind support from IDEO, Optikos and SolidWorks Corporation.
