Goya Day, originating in Okinawa, Japan, is a special day to recognize Bitter Melon as a popular ingredient that some even suspect is the secret to the Okinawan longevity! The NBMC will host their second celebration of Goya Honoring Day ("Goya" means Bitter Melon in the Okinawan language) with a Saturday afternoon outdoor fair that includes a wide array of activities to learn about and revel in bitterness of all kinds. The opportunities for bitter flavor and sweet exchange abound.
GOYA HONORING DAY +2 is the National Bitter Melon Council's public event for the current exhibition Artadia Boston 2007 at the Mills Gallery, Boston Center for the Arts.
