SOMERVILLE T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST - May 16, 2008
Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone today announced that the Mayor’s Young Somerville Advisory Group is accepting entries for its first-ever t-shirt design contest. All residents are invited to submit a design to the group by Friday, May 16th. Winning designs will be featured on shirts to be sold at city-sponsored events throughout the summer, and 100% of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Somerville Homeless Coalition.
Entries must be submitted electronically, in JPEG or TIFF format, to tshirtcontest@clockwinders.net in black and white print only. Designs must be between 2 x 5 and 8 x 10 inches. All entries should include residents’ name, address, phone number, and email address. Winners will be selected for concentration on creativity, community spirit, local landmarks, and/or catch phrases, and announced during the week of May 26th.
The Mayor’s Young Somerville Advisory Group is comprised of twenty-five 21-35 year old Somerville residents, who serve in an advisory capacity to Mayor Curtatone as liaisons between City government and young Somerville residents.
