SOMERVILLE OPEN STUDIOS MUSIC FESTIVAL - May 3-4, 2008

ARTSomerville and The Nave Gallery invite performing artists to join us for 3 days of music to coincide with Somerville Open Studios May 3 and 4, 1 to 6 pm.

This free concert stimulates a lot of energy and good will at what is predominately a visual arts event. All performers will be publicized on widely distributed postcards and press releases. Please consider joining us this year for this huge event. Over 300 artists participate!

This is the 3rd year we will be hosting music in the Clarendon Hill Church sanctuary, while a dozen artists show their work in the community room and an exhibition will be on display in the gallery. It promises to bring in a steady stream of visitors, making The Nave Gallery a lively place to be on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

SOS Music Festival performers will each get a one hour time slot between 1 - 6 pm on May 3rd or 4th.

This year, Somerville Open Studio coincides with Boston Jazz Week. Since we also participate in Boston Jazz Week, we are especially interested in hosting jazz acts that would like to play evening shows on May 2nd and 3rd.

Calendar:
April 10: Deadline to confirm performance for print listings
May 2, 5-8pm: Exhibit and Opening Reception: 'Turn On A Dime' at The Nave Gallery
May 2, 8 - 10:30pm: Boston Jazz Week - night 1
May 3, 1-6pm: Somerville Open Studios Music Festival - day 1
May 3, 8 - 10:30pm: Boston Jazz Week - night 2
May 3, 1-6pm: Somerville Open Studios Music Festival - day 2

Please get back to us and let us know if you can join us - which day and time slot would work best, and please send your photos, bios, artwork and writeups with your request for a time slot.
