June 30 – July 21, 2007
You're cordially invited to an Opening Reception with the Artists: Sat, June 30, 2-5pm
(Malden, MA ) artSPACE@16 , winner of “Best Art Gallery” category on WBZ-TV’s A-List 2007, proudly presents its 40th exhibition “FOUR-IN-ONE”. Throughout its seven years in Malden, Massachusetts, artSPACE@16 has steadily put together compelling, high quality exhibits showing the work of talented contemporary artists.
Roanna Forman, a local art critic with the New England culture magazine artscope, recently commented that, "The exhibits at artSPACE@16 are consistently intelligent, innovative, and challenging to the viewer. This gallery works hard to showcase new artists. Furthermore, it has been a cultural force, with enriching repercussions throughout the area."
Four-in-One is composed of four exhibits by four artists presenting individual exhibition titles:- “Drawing in Two Parts”, paintings by Sam Duket of Pawtucket, RI; “Malden in Translation”, multi-disciplinary site specific installation by Kaz Naganuma of Cambridge, MA; “Structural Harmonics”, site specific installation by Rob Strati of Columbus, Ohio; and “American Landscapes”, paintings by FeiLing Wang of Medford, MA.
The 40th exhibit at artSPACE@16 is scheduled to open to the public on Saturday, June 30 with a potluck reception with the four participating artists from 2 – 5pm, an artists’ talk will begin at 3pm.
“Four-in-One” is on display thru July 21 at artSPACE@16 in Malden located at 16 Princeton Road, near Forestdale School, the closest MBTA is the Orange Line Oak Grove station.
