Our Needle-bearing and Broad-leaved Evergreens
Date: Saturday, March 17
Time: 1:00 to 3:00 pm
Meeting Place: Ranger Station
Water Purification Facility
250 Fresh Pond Parkway, Cambridge
Fresh Pond’s evergreens provide color for the eyes of winter-weary humans and shelter and food for many other mammals and birds. We will compare different leaf styles and discuss the winter coping skills of evergreens, then we will look at plants outside in the area around the Water Department and Kingsley Park.
Please register for each event that you plan to attend. You will receive information on parking after you register. E-mail Elizabeth Wylde at friendsoffreshpond@yahoo.com or call (617) 349-4793 and leave your name and phone number. Friends of Fresh Pond.
