LOGO DESIGN COMPETITION - April 2, 2007
Calling All Graphic Artists
Design a New Logo for
East Somerville Main Streets
Wanted: New Logo for East Somerville Main Streets (ESMS). ESMS seeks
a new logo to use for print and web collateral. The logo should
reproduce well in newsletters, flyers, T-shirts, mugs, etc. ESMS
seeks an image that conveys activity (especially pedestrian activity),
sense of welcome, community, and the character of East Somerville.
The logo should be bold and not too "busy." The logo must include the
name, East Somerville Main Streets; this logo could be only text or
text and image.
Juried By: ESMS board of directors.
Winner: Receive $150 (and get your design out there for the world to
see).
How: Submit a sketch, or low-res jpeg. Use of color is great, but
logo should also look great in black and white reproductions. The
image should be distinct when reduced to roughly one square inch. If
your design is selected, we will require a final version in 300dpi
TIFF and JPEG formats. East Somerville artists are especially
encouraged to apply.
Submit to: Logo, East Somerville Main Streets, PO Box 382,
Somerville, MA 02143. Or send a JPEG attachment at 72 dpi via email
to: dancyc@gmail.com
Include: A contact page with name, address, phone number, and email
address.
Questions: Carrie Dancy, ESMS Director at: dancyc@gmail.com
Deadline: Email or Postmarked by Monday, April 2, 2007.
OUR MISSION:
The mission of ESMS is to help build East Somerville as a thriving,

collaboration with business owners, residents, agencies, and
