FLUTE CONCERT SEEKS PLAYERS - March 17, 2007
The Willow Flute Ensemble, which proudly features three Somerville residents, is organizing its second annual Mega Flute concert! Last year we were a group of 46 flutists, performing pieces by Xenakis, Tallis, and Boston-based composer John Heiss. The concert was profiled in the _Arlington Advocate_, and featured more than 15 alto flutes, bass flutes, and a rare contrabass flute! For this year's concert, we'll be performing some amazing works by Ockeghem, Vaughan Williams, and more.
The concert will be March 17th, 7:30 p.m, at Newton City Hall. There will be two rehearsals that week (time TBA).
If you live in the vicinity of the Boston area and would be interested in playing, or know of someone who would be interested, please go to
