BROOKLINE RESIDENT EXHIBIT - October 6, 2006
(Brookline, MA: August 14, 2006) The Brookline Arts Center will kick off its fall gallery events with Shirley Partoll: Pleasures & Principles from September 8 through October 6, 2006. This exhibition of monotype prints and paintings in oil and acrylics reflects the inspiration that Partoll found on her travels to Iceland, France, and Central and South America. Says Partoll: “My themes…often reflect my wanderlust, which is an avenue to impressions and images upon which I can expand.”
The public is invited to meet the artist at an artist’s reception on Friday, September 15, 2006, from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. The reception is free and open to the public.
The Brookline Arts Center is located at 86 Monmouth Street, Brookline, one block from the St. Mary’s stop on the MBTA Green C Line. The gallery is handicapped accessible.
